GLO has filmed and photographed Tamil weddings from its Wellawatte studio in Colombo since 2006, from Colombo hotels to Jaffna kovils. You plan on WhatsApp and video call; we are there on the day.

Sri Lanka is 5½ hours ahead of the UK in winter and 4½ hours ahead in summer. Best call window: 6:30–9:30 pm in Colombo, which is 1–4 pm in London in winter or 2–5 pm in summer. A Saturday call at 2 pm GMT is 7:30 pm at the studio.

Toronto, Scarborough, Markham and Montreal share Eastern Time: 8–10 pm in Colombo is 9:30–11:30 am there in winter, 10:30 am–12:30 pm in summer. Vancouver is three hours behind them, so the same window is 6:30–8:30 am.

Australia is ahead of Sri Lanka, so a Colombo morning is your afternoon. 10 am–1 pm in Colombo is 2:30–5:30 pm in Sydney and Melbourne (3:30–6:30 pm in daylight saving) and 12:30–3:30 pm in Perth.
